Why Did AI Suddenly Show Up Everywhere?
AI has actually been in development for decades, but it only seemed to explode in the last few years. Three main factors are behind this: an abundance of available data, computing power that keeps getting cheaper and faster, and machine learning algorithms — especially deep learning — that have matured significantly. Together, these three factors turned AI from an academic research topic into a product used by billions of people every day.
